CORPORATE STRUCTURE

Oliva AD is a joint stock company registered under Bulgarian law with a capital of BGN 2,009,760, divided into 669,920 ordinary registered shares with par value of BGN 3 each. The majority shareholder of the company is Buildcom EOOD.

Timeline

1942

Company “Pearl” is established and the construction of an oilseed crushing plant begins in the town of Knezha, Pleven region. After after the fall of the communist regime in Bulgaria the company is renamed to Oliva AD in 1991.

2001

Buildcom EOOD becomes majority shareholder in Oliva AD.

2005

A program begins in the plant in Knezha for complete modernization of the production facilities and construction of new extraction and refining installations, as well as a new workshop for sunflower kernels.

2008

The modernization in the plant in Knezha is completed and put into operation.

2011

The construction of a new oilseed crushing plant begins in the town of Polski Trambesh, Veliko Tarnovo region,with a capacity of over three times the plant in Knezha. The over 33 million US dollars project is financed by the EBRD.

2013

The new plant in Polski Trambesh is put into operation.

2015

Oliva and Buildcom start actively using the port terminal PCHMV in Varna.

2017

The construction of a new oilseed crushing plant begins in the village of Razdelna, Varna region, with investment amount of 50 million US dollars.

2019

The new plant in Razdelna is put into operation. With its three plants Oliva is by far the largest crusher of oilseeds in Bulgaria.
